Let’s Bailout California…

Like a manure truck careening down a steep windy road, brakes smoking, and the driver taking tequila shots while texting his fantasy football league standings to his entire friends list, the federal bailout of California is coming.

The good people of the Golden State have continued to vote for candidates that tell them the party will never end and please pass the nachos. Well the party is over, the music has been turned off and the cops are at the door looking for somebody sober to arrest so they won’t have to clean vomit out of the back seat of their patrol car… again.

Their California spending party has yielded to the inevitable morning after, the hangover, and wondering how you got home last night without your car and missing a shoe. When revenues fell short of projections and promised spending, the progressives answer was to increase taxes and spend more. When that didn’t balance the budget they borrowed money (issued bonds) and spent even more money on social programs and pay increases for unionized state employees. Shockingly this did not stem the hemorrhaging red ink from California’s budget.

So let’s bail them out, they clearly need someone to pay their bills for them.  After all, it is expensive to live in California.

How much will a bailout of California cost? I don’t know but there will be several commas and a bunch of digits in that number, whatever it is it will be worth it. If we, the other 49 states, Puerto Rico, and Guam are forced to pay for the public health clinics handing out syringes and condoms in the great state of California and all of the other budget items the good people of California have supported and voted for, wouldn’t that make California a federal district, just like Washington D.C.?

Just like D.C.? If California’s bills are being paid for by the rest of us, wouldn’t they have to give up their federal representation? How much would it be worth to you to eliminate Boxer, Pelosi, Feinstein, et al?

Bailout of California…a gazillion dollars!

California’s federal legislative delegation told to stay home… Priceless.

So let’s cut that first check, keep ‘em coming, and keep Pelosi at home redecorating her multi-million dollar San Francisco house instead of in Congress where she does real damage on a daily basis.
